Robert Steinberg

Of Counsel
Robert Steinberg joined Mozley, Finlayson & Loggins LLP in 2026. Robert brings a rare combination of engineering experience and sophisticated legal training to the resolution of complex disputes. His multidisciplinary background enables him to approach technically demanding matters with a practical understanding of both the underlying engineering issues and the legal, contractual, and business considerations at stake.

Mr. Steinberg’s practice encompasses complex construction and surety disputes, commercial litigation, arbitration, mediation, municipal law, environmental matters, indemnity disputes, and intellectual property proceedings. He has represented clients in high-stakes litigation and arbitration, including construction matters, and has successfully resolved significant disputes through negotiation and settlement.

Mr. Steinberg handled a broad range of litigation and dispute-resolution matters. His responsibilities included trials and hearings, discovery, motion practice, legal research, mediation, settlement negotiations, and the defense of tort and contractual claims. This experience provided him with a strong foundation in complex litigation and the unique legal considerations involved in representing governmental entities.

Mr. Steinberg has also represented clients in intellectual property matters before the World Intellectual Property Organization and gained substantial experience in environmental law. His environmental experience included litigation in regulatory and enforcement matters, administrative orders, and matters involving Natural Resources and Agriculture.

Mr. Steinberg worked as a structural and design engineer. That technical foundation remains an important part of his approach to legal practice, particularly in construction and other disputes where a detailed understanding of engineering, project development, contracts, and technical evidence is essential.

Mr. Steinberg provides clients with a comprehensive perspective on sophisticated disputes—combining technical insight, legal analysis, and strategic advocacy to address complex matters efficiently and effectively.
