Richard S. Bruno

Richard Bruno joined MF&L as an Associate in 2013 and became a Partner in 2021. His practice primarily focuses on the defense of insureds in the premises, construction, and trucking arenas. He has also represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial disputes. He has tried copyright and signal piracy cases in federal courts. He also has experience in a broad array of areas including: real estate litigation, insurance coverage, and automobile regulations. He has appeared and represented clients in courtrooms, mediations, and arbitrations throughout the State.

Mr. Bruno was born and raised in Roswell, Georgia. He received a B.A. in Economics and History from Washington & Lee University, cum laude, in 2006. He returned to Washington & Lee University School of Law where he received his J.D. in 2011. During law school, Mr. Bruno served as the Executive Editor of W&L Law’s international and transnational law journal and the 2011 Class President. He also interned in a Virginia Public Defender office and the City of Roanoke Circuit Court as a clerk.
