Mozley, Finlayson, & Loggins Attorneys

Matt joined Mozley, Finlayson & Loggins LLP in 2026 as an Associate Attorney. His practice focuses on insurance-related litigation and coverage matters, drawing on a unique combination of legal and insurance industry experience. Prior to joining the firm, Matt practiced with Atlanta-based law firms handling insurance defense and insurance coverage disputes. He also spent more than a decade working for insurance carriers, where he managed and resolved claims through settlement negotiations, mediation, and litigation. This dual perspective allows him to effectively counsel clients through complex disputes while maintaining a practical, results-oriented approach.

Born in Saginaw, Michigan, and raised in Snellville, Georgia, Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Georgia in 2004. He later received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2010, where he served as Notes Editor for the Georgia Law Review. Following law school, Matt worked as a Staff Attorney for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He is admitted to practice before all Georgia trial courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia.

Matt is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers and on the Editorial Board of the Georgia Bar Journal.
