Over the past twenty-five years, Jim’s practice has focused on the representation of banks, lenders, developers, builders, owners and brokers as a commercial and real estate attorney; as well as, representing numerous corporate clients, entrepreneurs, and owner-managed businesses.
Jim’s representation of commercial real estate clients has involved the structuring and closing of real estate transactions involving acquisitions, refinances, construction loans, permanent loans, and development loans. The types of properties involved in these matters have ranged from raw land developments to townhome and subdivision communities, multifamily housing developments, hotels, office buildings, medical buildings, hospice facilities, storage facilities, shopping centers and industrial facilities. Associated with these transactions have been issues involving zoning, covenants and restrictions, easements, ground leases, survey problems and title problems. Mr. Coyle has represented all sides in these transactions, including construction and permanent lenders, developers, ground lessors and contractors.
Mr. Coyle has also developed a corporate practice in which he represents corporate clients in a myriad of fields, and has provided counsel to his corporate clients from start-up through the sale of the business.
Jim is the Managing Partner of MF&L, is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia (Real Estate and Corporate Sections). He is the CFO of the Law Firm Alliance, a worldwide strategic alliance of mid-sized law firms. He serves on the Management Committee of our firm.
