Caitlin Amick joined the firm in 2021 and focuses her practice on commercial litigation. Ms. Amick is comfortable working on complex matters pending in federal or state court. She has experience across all stages of litigation, from pre-suit through trial and appeal. As an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional, Ms. Amick’s experience also includes counseling businesses of all sizes on data privacy and cybersecurity issues, including negotiating SaaS agreements, breach response, vendor management, and regulatory compliance. Her previous work as a senior regulatory compliance analyst for an international company gives her unique insight into the challenges businesses face in reducing risk in an efficient yet legally compliant manner

Ms. Amick graduated, summa cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. During law school, she was an Editor for the Georgia Law Review and competed in both the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition and National Moot Court Competition. Ms. Amick also served as a teaching assistant for Professor Michael Wells (Torts), interned with an administrative judge for the U.S. EEOC, participated in UGA’s Public Interest Practicum, and worked at a toxic torts defense firm. Ms. Amick received awards for earning top grades in seven classes, and upon graduation was inducted into the Order of the Coif and the Order of Barristers. Before law school, she received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, cum laude, from Kennesaw State University and worked for several years at a boutique civil litigation firm in Charleston, South Carolina.

Outside of the office, Ms. Amick enjoys exploring the North Georgia mountains, wrangling with her vegetable garden, and fostering misfit dogs for a local animal rescue group.
