Nicole Simpson joined the firm as an associate in 2022. She practices in the areas of Aviation Litigation, Construction Litigation, Medical Malpractice, Subrogation.
Prior to joining MFL, Nicole practiced in insurance defense where she represented standard and non-standard insurance companies and their insureds in the defense of claims involving bodily injury, uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, and property damage. Ms. Simpson also previously practiced in creditors’ rights where she was responsible for all Georgia matters for a large-scale national commercial and consumer creditors’ rights firm whose clients consisted of multiple nationally chartered financial institutions and large consumer debt purchasers. Ms. Simpson’s experience includes courtroom litigation, civil motions practice, and alternative dispute resolution. She was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2016 and has been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the Court of Appeals of Georgia.
Ms. Simpson was born in Jamaica and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She attended McGill University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies in 2010. She went on to earn her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where she graduated in 2014, and her Master of Laws in Law and Entrepreneurship from Duke University School of Law in 2015. During law school, Ms. Simpson was a member of the Black Law Students Association, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International, and the Transactional Law Team.
