Jerry W. Cain Jr.
Mr. Cain was admitted to the practice in Dougherty County, Georgia. He attended law school at the University of Georgia. While there, Mr. Cain served as a justice on the law school’s honor court, served as a member of the Federalist Society, and was a founding member of the Georgia League for Rural Enhancement. He also served both on the Editorial and Managing board for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. Mr. Cain published “Extraterritorial Application of the U.S. Trade Embargo Against Cuba: The U.N. General Assembly’s Call for an End to the U.S. Trade Embargo,” 24 GA. J. OF INT’L & COMP. L. 399 (1994).
Mr. Cain is a cum laude graduate from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. While at the University of South Carolina on a full academic scholarship, Mr. Cain served on the Student Grievance Committee and the South Carolina Student Legislature. He also served as a research intern with the School of Public Policy, serving as an intern at the South Carolina General Assembly’s House Education and Ways and Means Committees.
Mr. Cain began his practice in 1995 at a well-respected South Georgia firm. He then relocated and worked at several insurance defense firms in Atlanta until he opened his own practice handling workers’ compensation litigation at all levels of state and federal judiciary. He merged his practice with Mozley, Finlayson & Loggins’ workers’ compensation group in 2017.
Mr. Cain’s professional affiliations have included the Georgia Bar Association and the Atlanta Bar Association (member of the Workers’ Compensation Sections of both the Georgia and Atlanta Bar Associations). Mr. Cain also served on the Board of the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers from 1995-1997. Mr. Cain also currently serves on the South Carolina Honors College’s Partnership Board.
