J. Timothy Wooten
Mr. Wooten joined the firm in 2001 after working as a tax attorney at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. His practice includes construction and design law, environmental law, workers’ compensation, and insurance defense.
Mr. Wooten was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He is a graduate of Erskine College, and a cum laude graduate of Georgia State University College of Law. Between college and law school, Mr. Wooten worked as a musician. During law school, Mr. Wooten worked as a Graduate Research Assistant with the Georgia Consortium on Dispute Resolution. He also was a volunteer student attorney with the Georgia State University Tax Clinic.
Mr. Wooten is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the South Carolina State Bar, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Wooten is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association and the South Carolina Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Wooten is volunteer attorney for Georgia Lawyers for the Arts. Mr. Wooten also serves as a Torts instructor at the Emory University graduate paralegal program.
