J. Arthur Mozley

Mr. Mozley is a founding member of the firm and has more than 35 years experience in the practice of law in Atlanta. He has been primarily engaged in liability defense work with particular emphasis on aviation and products liability law. Mr. Mozley has acted as lead counsel for a number of major aviation manufacturers and air carriers in high profile, complex air disaster litigation throughout the Southeast. He also regularly represents reinsurers and excess insurers on a variety of cases, as well as other clients on general litigation matters.

Mr. Mozley was born in Cordele, Georgia on November 27, 1941. He attended Emory University where he received a B.A. in 1963 and a LL.B. in 1965 and was a member of the Bryan Honor Society. He was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1965. He is a member of the Atlanta, Federal, and American Bar Associations. Mr. Mozley is a member of several professional and legal associations including the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, the International Association of Defense Counsel, and the Defense Research Institute, Inc. He has tried cases and argued appeals throughout the Southeast and other areas, including arguing successfully in the United States Supreme Court.
