Brian J. Duva
Mr. Duva joined the firm in 2002 following graduation from Georgia State University's College of Law and is now a partner. Mr. Duva practices in the areas of commercial litigation, trucking and aviation litigation, general litigation, banking litigation, insurance defense, insurance coverage, medical malpractice and employment discrimination. Drawing on his experience in professional baseball, Mr. Duva also represents professional athletes as counsel and as an agent.
Mr. Duva was born in Gainesville, FL on August 30, 1972. He attended the University of Florida where he received a B.S. in 1994. From 1994 to 2000, Mr. Duva played seven seasons of professional baseball with the Cleveland Indians organization and with the Winnipeg Goldeyes of the Independent Northern League. He received his J.D. from the Georgia State University College of Law in 2002, with honors in litigation. During law school, Mr. Duva participated in Georgia State University's Student Trial Lawyer's mock trial program. He now serves as an attorney advisor and consultant to the program. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association and the American Bar Association. In both 2007 and 2009, Mr. Duva was recognized in the Super Lawyer's edition of Atlanta Magazine as a "Rising Star" and one of the "Top Young Lawyers in Georgia."
