Traditional Labor Law
Our attorneys have handled NLRB collective bargaining matters, including arbitrations, union campaigns, and unfair labor practice proceedings. We assist in the development and implementation of preventive management practices for employers designed to reduce the likelihood of labor relations problems or the desire for employees to seek outside assistance. We also counsel employers in the labor implications arising out of corporate acquisitions, consolidations and divestitures. Additionally, this practice group provides advice to assure compliance with wage and hour regulations and immigration requirements.
Employment Litigation
We aggressively represent public and private employers in claims arising under Title VII, age discrimination, disability, family leave, sexual harassment and wrongful discharge. We have represented both employers and employees in claims for violations of restrictive covenants and dissemination of trade secrets and confidential information. Our clients include companies involved in construction, manufacturing, health care, insurance, benefit administration, retail services and technology-related services.
Employment Policies and Legislative Compliance
We regularly assist employers in the development of employment policies and procedures necessary to comply with myriad of federal and state employment legislation. In this regard, our attorneys provide advice and representation in matters involving the Americans with Disabilities Act, drug testing, immigration compliance, WARN, affirmative action plans, ERISA and COBRA, as well as a myriad of state and local compliance matters.
